As a certified CAPT (Canadian Association for Play therapy) play therapist and
qualifying supervisor, I am available to support you in obtaining your hours for
CAPT certification.

I worked in the field of child welfare with complex trauma for over 18 years, and
developed a strong foundation of attachment theory through training and research.
I have a strong understanding of brain development and the impact of trauma on
development at various stages, and incorporate this into my case conceptualization
and treatment planning.

As a play therapist, I have over 300+ hours of training specific to play therapy, and
over 150+ hours specific to the utilization of EMDR with children and adolescents.
As a clinician I am integrative in my practice. I have training in level one and two
theraplay, and am an EMDR child and adolescent specialist. In my private practice I
utilize adjunctive approaches as well such as Neurofeedback and safe and sound
protocol.

The healing process for children requires a thorough knowledge of attachment, solid
understanding of case conceptualization and treatment planning. I can support you
to better understand your client’s needs and healing process.
